What is EWOT and how does it work?

EWOT, or exercise with oxygen therapy, is a form of physical activity that involves breathing in near-pure oxygen while exercising. By increasing the amount of oxygen in your body, you can improve your endurance, energy levels, and overall health. You'll typically wear a mask that delivers over 90% pure oxygen while you engage in physical activity like a cardio workout. This can be done on a stationary bike, treadmill, or other exercise equipment. The increased oxygen levels can help your body:

  • Produce more energy
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Improve circulation
  • Detoxify and remove metabolic waste

How to set up an EWOT system at home

Exercis with Oxygen Therapy Equipment

Setting up an EWOT system at home is relatively simple and can be done with just a few pieces of equipment. First, you will need an oxygen source, such as an oxygen concentrator, which purifies the air from 21% oxygen up to over 90% oxygen.  Because an oxygen concentrator cannot provide enough oxygen to sustain a 15-minute EWOT session, we need an EWOT reservoir to capture and store the oxygen from the concentrator.  You will also need a mask to deliver the oxygen to your body during exercise.  We use a mask with a two-way, non-rebreathing valve, which ensures you are not rebreathing mixed air and oxygen and allowing you to experience high-purity oxygen in each breath.

Additionally, you will need some form of exercise equipment, such as a stationary bike, treadmill, or elliptical machine. Once you have all of the necessary equipment, simply connect the oxygen concentrator to the EWOT reservoir and fill the reservoir up.  Once the reservoir is full, connect it to the mask and begin your oxygen-enhanced workout. It's important to start slowly and gradually increase the intensity of your workouts over time to avoid overexertion.  Over time, you exercise with oxygen therapy sessions will naturally get longer and more intense.
